Senior Accountant – Beachside Bar & Restaurant Venue (Canggu)

The ideal candidate will lead financial strategy, oversee transaction control, and drive innovation. They ensure compliance, collaborate cross-functionally, mentor the team, and handle financial reporting. This role offers a dynamic Senior Accountant the opportunity to shape the organisation’s financial landscape with a direct report to the General Manager.

Requirements :

• Open for local candidates.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in senior accounting or finance roles, with proven expertise in operating Xero.
• Proficiency in other accounting software and MS Office.
• Strong knowledge of accounting and tax principles and procedures.
• Fluent in English. 
• Strong analytical ability.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Outstanding organisational and leadership skills.
• Problem-solving aptitude.

Responsibilities :

• Formulate and execute strategies for the optimal financial health of the organisation, aligning with business goals and regulatory requirements.
• Lead and inspire the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Provide guidance on complex accounting issues and ensure the professional development of team members.
• Play a key role in the budgeting process, working closely with various departments to develop accurate financial forecasts and plans.
• Generate comprehensive financial reports and statements, offering insightful analysis to facilitate informed decision-making by the executive team.
• Identify and mitigate financial risks through thorough analysis and proactive measures. 
• Preparation of balance sheets, profit and loss, and other statements. 
• Implement effective internal controls and compliance measures.
• Continuously evaluate and enhance accounting processes and procedures, leveraging technological solutions and best practices to drive efficiency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of financial information, contributing to a holistic understanding of the business landscape.
• Spearhead the coordination and completion of annual audits, liaising with external auditors to provide necessary documentation and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
