Are you a meticulous and results-oriented professional with substantial experience in cost analysis and financial management? One of Bali’s leading hospitality groups is searching for a Quantity Surveyor / Cost Analyst to join their team immediately. 

The ideal candidate’s responsibilities encompass calculating completed and remaining work volumes, material requirements, and verifying material usage. They review shop drawings for changes, supervise subcontractor/foreman contracts for progress, provide guidance, prepare additional work budget analysis, and coordinate data entry for project reports.

Requirements :

  • Open for local and expat candidates. 
  • Min. two years of related experience in a similar field.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in construction management, civil engineering, or quantity surveying.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Proficiency in cost estimation software.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Understanding of project management principles.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction industry standards.
  • Experience in cost analysis or related fields (preferred).
  • Familiarity with project management tools.
  • Strong communication and teamwork .

Responsibilities :

  • Prepare, estimate, and determine the Overall Cost Budget (RAB) in terms of materials, labour costs, equipment, subcontractors, and the project duration for a new or existing project.
  • Estimate a project by collecting subcontractor proposals, working drawings, material specifications, and related documents.
  • Calculate risks and potential deviations from the project plan.
  • Collaborate with the project manager/project in charge (PIC) to oversee the progress of the project.
  • Ensure that project execution costs align with the planned budget.
  • Ensure compliance with contract document change requirements and be ready to  use them as a basis for agreements.
  • Proactively develop innovations to enhance project budget execution performance through thorough monitoring.
  • Calculate the volume of completed building work and remaining work for the purpose of creating foreman/contractor surveys and for engineering purposes in creating a construction work schedule.
  • Calculate the material requirements needed for each construction work item.
  • Check the use of materials to see if it aligns with what was calculated by the estimator.
  • Check each new shop drawing to see if there have been changes from what was previously calculated; if changes occur, the quantity surveyor’s task is to recalculate the work volume or calculate only the added or reduced work items.
  • Supervise subcontractor/foreman contracts closely regarding the achievement of physical progress and remaining work completion.
  • Provide guidance and advice to subcontractors/foremen in aligning contract commitments with the achievement of physical progress and workforce numbers.
  • Prepare additional work budget analysis in accordance with the BUASO analysis.
  • Coordinate daily data transaction recording into the Prolog program to provide
    periodic reports to Project Control.
