The ideal candidate is responsible for overseeing and optimising the day-to-day activities of the organisation, ensuring efficient processes, resource allocation, and adherence to quality standards. Their key responsibilities include managing teams, developing and implementing operational strategies, analysing data to improve efficiency, budget management, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, management, operations management, or a related field is often preferred. Some organisations may require a master’s degree for higher-level positions.
  • Experience in progressively responsible roles, demonstrating a track record of success in managing teams and processes.

Responsibilities :

  • Recruit, select, train, assign, schedule, coach, counsel, and discipline employees.
  • Communicate job expectations, plan, monitor, appraise, and review job contributions.
  • Address employee performance and corrective action plans.
  • Contribute operational insights and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews, prepare and complete action plans, implement production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards, and resolve problems.
  • Develop operational systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, implementing and enforcing procedures, and creating processes for receiving products, equipment utilisation, inventory management, and shipping.
  • Analyse and improve organisational processes, workflow, employee and space requirements, and equipment layout, and implement necessary changes.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer issues.
  • Communicate customer issues with the operations team and devise strategies to enhance the customer experience, including resolving problems and complaints.
  • Collaborate closely with management to set and implement policies, procedures, and systems and ensure their successful implementation.
  • Manage orders, deliveries, and delivery logistics.
  • Handle customer care, complaints, and requirements.
  • Maintain clear communication and provide direction to staff with regular updates to management.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment, ensuring a safe, injury/accident-free workplace.
  • Provide support to the production team, sales team, and accounting team.
  • Manage deliveries, inventories, and warehousing for all received goods.
  • Engage in sourcing and purchasing activities, including researching comparative pricing to ensure the lowest cost for ingredients, materials, equipment, and running costs.
  • Research and implement new systems, software, and equipment to improve organisational and production efficiency.
  • Conduct research and analysis to achieve cost efficiency in export and distribution logistics.
  • Manage and oversee all machinery installation, maintenance, spare parts, renovations, and equipment servicing.
  • Implement quality assurance programs to maintain strict product quality controls.
