One of our clients, a dynamic property management company in Bali, is searching for a Legal Manager to join the team immediately. 

The perfect candidate will live here in Bali and will be well connected with the Indonesian government such as Government Regulation, immigration, and notary.  

The Legal Manager must be familiar with real estate law, in order to handle all business agreements and legal issues, in both Property Management and Property Development companies who are under the same ownership.  

Requirements :

  • Open for local candidates.
  • Min. three years’ of experience as a Legal Manager or relevant position. 
  • Law Degree (LLB or equivalent) from a recognised institution or a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of local and international laws and regulations relevant to the industry and business.
  • Up-to-date on legal changes.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess legal issues.
  • Proactive approach and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency Microsoft Office.
  • Previous experience in Property Management or Real Estate is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess legal issues and provide effective solutions.
  • Strong legal research skills to stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that may affect the organisation.
  • Ability to collaborate with other departments and work effectively in a team.
  • Must be flexible to respond to urgent messages/WA after hours.

Responsibilities: 

  • Ensure the organisation’s compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Consists in counseling and providing legal advice to the company, ensuring compliance on law and regulations, assessing risks and liabilities, contract review and negotiations, licensing, management of litigations, government & local relations, due diligence, insurance policies, needs for IMB, NIB/OSS, PTPMA, and any legal issues or duties that may arise.
  • Familiar with real estate law and well connected with the Indonesian government (such as Government Regulations, Immigration, and Notary).
  • Oversee corporate governance matters and ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide legal advice to management on various legal issues and implications.
  • Represent the company in legal matters with external parties, including government agencies and legal firms. 
  • Monitor changes in laws and regulations affecting the industry and ensure the organisation’s compliance.
  • Develop, review, and update company policies to ensure legal compliance and alignment with industry standards.
  • Handles all business agreements and is responsible for handling any legal issues, in both Property Management and Property Development companies which are under the same owner.
