Are you a talented Head Chef searching for a new opportunity? Our client is a popular beachside venue in Canggu looking for a motivated and driven chef to join the team immediately.

The ideal candidate is an experienced, creative, and passionate individual responsible for the management of the daily operations of the kitchen, the development and welfare of the culinary team and in charge of the financial performance of the culinary department against published budget, mainly but not limited to manpower cost, food revenue, menu gross margin and overall costs control.

Requirements :

  • Open for local candidates.
  • A minimum of 8 years experience in a Head Chef role or similar position.
  • Inspiring leader and operational chef with proven experience.
  • A strong understanding of food safety regulations and hygiene standards is crucial to ensure a safe and clean kitchen environment.
  • The Head Chef should be adaptable and able to handle unexpected challenges or changes in the kitchen environment.
  • Excellent culinary skills and a deep understanding of various cooking techniques, cuisines, and food presentation.
  • Previous experience cooking in a kitchen with a wood fire grill.
  • Strong organisational skills. 
  • Good communication skills and service-oriented.
  • Excellent leadership and team-building abilities. 

Responsibilities :

  • Develop and update menus, taking into account seasonal ingredients, customer preferences, and budget constraints.
  • Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation. Ensure high-quality standards are maintained.
  • Manage and lead kitchen staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling. Provide guidance and support to foster a positive work environment.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed to maintain appropriate stock levels while minimising waste.
  • Work to control food costs and labour costs, maximising profitability for the establishment.
  • Ensure that all dishes meet the established quality standards and are presented attractively.
  • Coordinate with other departments, such as front-of-house staff and management, to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as food safety standards.
  • Introduce new dishes and culinary techniques to keep the menu fresh and interesting for customers.
