General Manager Five Star Boutique Hotel

A superb, one off opportunity to become the Opening General Manager of one of Ubud’s most renowned and striking boutique hotels.

Ahead of the opening of the 5* luxury 20 bedroom hotel, the privately owned hotel is looking to hire a General Manager to take ownership and help build the team.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Both local and expat candidates will be considered
• Young hotelier preferably under 40
• Passion, drive & personality to lead a small luxury boutique hotel
• Relevant educational background based on the role required
• Minimum 3+ years previous and proven operational experience in a General Manager / Resort Manager role preferably in Bali
• Ability to lead by example and be a strong team player
• Proactive, customer orientated, flexible and creative
• Excellent level of English both spoken and written
• A good level of Bahasa is advantageous

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• You must be the presence and leader of the property
• Ensure excellent maintenance of the buildings, infrastructure and the overall appearance of the property
• Full management of the guest experience
• Managing the staff experience
• Display a high level of business acumen and entrepreneurial flair
• Thorough understanding of revenue management
• Full understanding of the key markets that drive business forward including distribution channels
• Play a crucial role in the hotel’s signature experiences (guest activity and F&B driven experiences)
• Oversee recruitment and training programmes
• Play an intrinsic role in the relaunch of the dining and bar experience
• Implement SOP requirements across your department(s)
