Are you a highly- driven individual with extensive financial experience in the luxury hospitality sector? A Design Led Luxury Boutique Hotel is looking for a Accounting Manager to join their team immediately.

The ideal candidate will be responsible to ensure that all financial and accounting operations within the Hotel accounting department run smoothly. They will oversee all accounting tasks, review financial statements to ensure accuracy, and reconcile general ledger accounts. You will control all the payments and transactions of the Hotel in each department and prepare guidelines for the Hotel staff regarding Hotel finances. 

Requirements :

  • Open for Local Candidates  
  • Minimum 1 or 2 Years of strong operational experience in the hotel industry, ideally experience across both 5 star, luxury large scale operations as well as boutique resorts. 
  • Knowledge in XERO accounting is a plus, as well as ability to identify cash flow issues and irregularities.
  • Collaborative skills for budget oversight with department heads.
  • Tax preparation expertise and timely payment.
  • Proficiency in general ledger account reconciliations.
  • Experience in supervising and guiding accounting staff.
  • Effective communication for providing regular financial updates to management.

Responsibilities :

  • Establishing an accounting department during the pre-launch phase.
  • Assisting and supporting team members in compiling monthly and quarterly accounting reports.
  • Conducting in-depth analysis of financial statements to ensure precision and adherence to accepted accounting standards.
  • Identifying potential issues related to cash flow and financial anomalies.
  • Collaborating with department heads to monitor and enforce departmental budget adherence.
  • Skillfully preparing tax filings and ensuring timely company tax payments when necessary.
  • Performing reconciliations for general ledger accounts.
  • Directing and offering comprehensive guidance to accounting clerks and junior staff.
  • Regularly updating management on company financial matters.
  • Ensuring strict adherence to accounting regulations and compliance.
  • Mastering and controlling ledgers, balance sheets, P&L statements, and cash flow records, providing insights and optimization strategies.
  • Demonstrating the ability to forecast business trends.
