One of our clients, a dynamic property management company in Bali, is searching for a highly experienced Purchasing Supervisor to join the team immediately with significant pre-opening experience. 

The ideal candidate will be familiar with either hotels or property management, to be able to develop purchasing strategies, maintain the purchasing department’s budget, create purchase orders, build and maintain a solid database. 

Requirements :

  • Open for local candidates.
  • Minimum of three years experience in purchasing, supply chain management or relevant position. 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field, such as Business Management, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management.
  • In-depth understanding of the products or services to be purchased.
  • High-level negotiation skills to achieve favourable agreements.
  • Time management skills to handle urgent purchasing tasks and long-term projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to identify problems and find solutions quickly.
  • Detail, results oriented and very organised.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Honest & Transparent.
  • Proactive and confidential approach.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Purchasing Systems.
  • Must be flexible to respond to urgent messages/WA after hours.
  • Previous experience in Hotels or Property Management required. 
  • Experience in the implementation or development of electronic procurement systems (e-procurement) may be considered an added value. 

Responsibilities :

  • Make reports to the Accounting Manager and is in charge of building and supervising the Purchasing department.
  • Familiar with either Hotels or Property Management.
  • Develop purchasing strategies, maintain the purchasing department’s budget, create purchase orders, build and maintain the database for approved vendors and subcontractors. 
  • Prepare procurement reports and negotiate vendor contracts.
  • Build a strong relationship with suppliers.
  • Control purchasing and property expenses. 
  • Has good inventory and storage management in place.
  • Supervise the purchasing team.
  • Responsible for the procurement of necessary goods and services for the company’s operations.
  • Monitor stock levels to ensure an adequate supply of goods.
