Purchasing – Property Construction & Investment (Badung)

A boutique property construction and investment company offering beautifully crafted, high-quality villas is searching for a Purchasing to join their team immediately. 

The ideal candidate must have strong skills in negotiation and vendor selection, as well as the ability to efficiently manage budgets. They should be able to communicate clearly and effectively with various stakeholders to obtain the best prices and ensure product quality meets company standards.

Requirements: 

  • Open for local candidates.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum three years in a similar role.
  • Proven experience in purchasing specifically for contractors or developers.
  • Excellent English language skills, both written and verbal.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of material and unit prices, including market trends and fluctuations.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess supplier quotes, evaluate cost-effectiveness, and make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Excellent organisational abilities to manage multiple procurement projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the Finance Manager and cost control team to develop and maintain purchasing budgets, ensuring adherence to financial constraints.
  • Research, identify, and qualify potential suppliers/vendors, negotiating contracts and terms to secure favorable pricing and delivery terms.
  • Create detailed material and unit options for consideration, taking into account factors such as quality, availability, and cost-efficiency.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of supplier proposals, comparing prices, quality, and delivery timelines to make informed purchasing recommendations.
  • Place orders for materials and units, tracking shipments and managing delivery schedules to ensure timely receipt and minimise project delays.
  • Monitor inventory levels and consumption rates, implementing strategies to optimise stock levels and minimise excess or obsolete inventory.
  • Resolve any issues or discrepancies with purchased items, coordinating with suppliers and internal stakeholders to address concerns promptly.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory requirements related to procurement practices, incorporating relevant insights into purchasing strategies.
