One of our clients, a dynamic property management company in Bali, is searching for a highly experienced Maintenance Manager or Chief Engineer to join the team immediately with significant pre-opening experience.
The ideal candidate will supervise the property’s infrastructures (villas, lofts, apartments), functionalities, and safety aspects. This includes organising repairs, installations and small-scale renovation projects.
Requirements :
- Open for local candidates.
- Minimum of three years experience as a Maintenance Manager, Chief Engineer or relevant position.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Facility Management, Construction or a related field. Previous experience in Property Management would be ideal.
- Significant experience in a maintenance and upkeep role, with a preference for managerial experience.
- Fluent in English, written and spoken.
- All-rounder technical skills.
- Understanding and application of workplace safety standards and industry regulations.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Takes the initiative and respects confidentiality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and reporting.
- Works well under pressure.
- Problem solving and anticipative thinking
- Analytical ability to evaluate technical issues and plan effective solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with employees, management, and external partners.
- Must be flexible to respond to urgent messages/WA after hours.
- Detail oriented and organised person.
- Has own motorbike and used to being on the road.
Responsibilities :
- Will make regular reports for the Operations Manager, and manage the Maintenance Team.
- Supervises the property’s infrastructures (villas, lofts, apartments), functionalities, and safety aspects.
- Organising repairs, installations and small-scale renovation projects. Possesses a versatile skill set, with expertise in electricity, plumbing, civil, soft and preventive maintenance.
- Proactively engaging in preventive maintenance.
- Collaborate with vendors/subcontractors when needed, especially for tasks requiring specific expertise and presenting difficulties.
- Planning and organisational skills are crucial to anticipate work, manage costs and minimise disruptions to guests.
- Will be tasked with managing inventories of maintenance supplies, optimal storage of equipment, as well as reporting, recruiting team, training team members.
- Manage maintenance activities to ensure equipment operability and reliability.
- Address technical issues and routine maintenance and coordinate emergency repairs and technical interventions.
- Coordinate with other departments to maintain efficient operational integration.
