One of Bali’s full-service Interior Design Studio focused on creating cool interior concepts for residential and commercial projects is searching for a Junior Interior Designer to join their team immediately. 

The ideal candidate should have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team, handle multiple tasks and possess a strong sense of aesthetics and attention to detail.

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design or Architecture. Specialism in Interior Design preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in the relevant field, supported by a comprehensive portfolio demonstrating past projects.
  • Proficient in design software including AutoCAD, SketchUp, V-Ray, Lumion, 3DS MAX, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
  • Fluency in both English and Bahasa Indonesia is essential.
  • Competency in creating and interpreting architectural and interior working drawings.
  • Knowledgeable about various construction materials and their general uses.
  • Exceptional attention to detail coupled with a refined sense of design.
  • Demonstrates reliability, integrity, and strong teamwork skills.
  • Proactive problem solver with a commitment to project completion.
  • Capable of working efficiently under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Fast Learner, fun and creative person.

Responsibilities:

Design Concept and Development

  • Creating, developing, and visualising Interior design concepts and mood boards in line with the Project’s needs and budget.
  • Providing good and efficient space planning and optimal furniture placement
  • Collaborate with Architect and Contractor to ensure accurate site measurements, Photographing and measuring rooms where needed.
  • Producing construction drawings, floor plans and schematic designs relevant to the mood boards (Sketch, 2D elevations, 3D drawings and Renderings)
  • Creating and developing shop drawings and technical drawings for custom joinery that can be used by the contractors to detail the work to be carried out.
  • Coordinate with the project team to ensure the interior design is well integrated with the architectural elements of the project.
  • Collaborate with team to establish goals, schedules and budgets.

Material, furniture, and Lighting selection

  • Arrange for materials, furniture, lighting, and accessories selection and specifications and sample mock-ups to suit the project’s needs.
  • Collaborate with Procurement to ensure materials are easily accessible and in line with budget for design projects.
  • Supervising production & fit-out furniture based on working drawing.

Client Interaction

  • Presenting design concepts, and communicating design ideas, presenting samples, and discussing project progress with clients.
  • Maintaining a professional and courteous demeanour when interacting with clients and managing their expectations.

Daily Operations and Project Management

  • Coordinate with contractors, architects, and other professionals to ensure the successful execution of design projects.
  • Communicate any delays or issues to the team for resolution.
  • Oversee site visits and inspections to ensure construction adheres to design and quality standards.
  • Coordinating installation of projects (artwork, furniture, styling accessories…)
  • Ensuring handover project is fulfilling initial design brief.
