The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the design process, coordinating project activities, and ensuring seamless communication among team members and clients.
Requirements:
- Open for local candidates only.
- Bachelor Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Previous experience in interior design, design assistance, or related roles is a plus.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, or other design tools.
- Creative flair and a keen eye for aesthetics and design details.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Basic understanding of design principles, color theory, and spatial arrangements.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new design trends and technologies.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work in a team environment.
- Familiarity with project management and administrative tasks is advantageous.
Responsibilities:
Design Support:
- Collaborate with the interior design team to assist in conceptualising and developing design concepts for residential and commercial spaces.
- Create mood boards, material palettes, and sample boards to visualise design concepts.
- Assist in sourcing furniture, fixtures, finishes, and materials that align with the design vision.
Project Coordination:
- Assist in organising and maintaining project schedules, ensuring timely completion of design phases.
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to ensure accurate procurement and delivery of design elements.
- Manage project documentation, including design drawings, specifications, and contracts.
Client Communication:
- Act as a point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and providing project updates.
- Assist in preparing and delivering presentations to clients, conveying design concepts and solutions.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their preferences, needs, and feedback.
Space Planning & Layout:
- Assist in space planning and layout design to optimise functionality and flow within interior spaces.
- Create and update floor plans, furniture layouts, and 3D renderings to illustrate design ideas.
Administrative Tasks:
- Manage administrative tasks related to the design process, including scheduling meetings, coordinating appointments, and organising design materials.
- Help maintain project budgets, expenses, and invoicing.
- Support the design team in various administrative responsibilities.
Site Visits & Quality Control:
- Participate in site visits to monitor project progress, ensuring that design specifications are being implemented accurately.
- Assist in quality control checks to ensure the design meets industry standards and client expectations.
