Are you a talented individual with solid experience as a Pattern Maker / Sample Maker? One of Bali’s eco-conscious active wear brands is looking for a pattern/sample maker to join their team immediately.
The ideal candidate for this role must have high skills in pattern making and sampling, a deep understanding of design principles, and proficient sewing abilities. Should be creative, detail oriented, adaptable to design changes, strong communication skills and teamwork.
Requirements
- Open for local candidates.
- Fluency in Indonesian and proficiency in English.
- Excellent sewing and garment construction skills.
- Proven experience in pattern making and sample creation, particularly in active wear.
- Proficiency in reading and understanding spec sheets, and working with diverse materials and sewing machines.
- Strong initiative, time management skills, and the ability to multitask effectively.
- Excellent teamwork abilities, with a passion for sustainable fashion and creating high-quality garments.
- Willingness to participate in on-site work at office in Tumbak Bayuh and potentially travel to meet with manufacturers.
- Familiarity with sustainable materials, such as viscose, organic cotton, bamboo, ecovera, Vita and Econyl, is highly advantageous.
- High attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the design team to conceptualise and create samples for a diverse range of active wear and lifestyle products.
- Develop and adjust patterns, ensuring they meet quality standards and design specifications.
- Work confidently with a variety of materials, particularly focusing on sustainable fabrics used in active wear.
- Translate design concepts from ideas and spec sheets for in-house creation and manufacturer communication.
- Oversee the production process with manufacturers, ensuring that the final products faithfully replicate the samples.
- Participate in regular design meetings, contributing to discussions on sales, client feedback, and sustainability initiatives.
- Play a key role in reducing waste and promoting eco-friendly practices throughout the design and production process.
