Expat General Manager (French Speaking) – Property Management (Ubud)

One of Bali’s leading property management groups specialising in managing vacation rental properties such as villas, houses, and apartments, is looking for an Expat General Manager to join their team immediately. 

The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the strategic direction, operational efficiency, and overall success of the property management company. This role requires a seasoned professional with a solid background in hospitality, hotel management, and property management, coupled with exceptional financial acumen and strategic vision.

 

Requirements :

  • Open for expat candidates.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and French. Proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is advantageous. 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s Degree preferred).
  • Background in Hospitality, Hotel Management, or Property Management.
  • Minimum of five years experience in a leadership role within the property management industry, with a focus on managing teams and driving business growth.
  • Proven track record of success in overseeing property operations and achieving revenue targets.
  • Strong proficiency in finance, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Solid understanding of marketing strategies and experience in developing and implementing marketing plans to attract guests and maximise property occupancy.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve exceptional results.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to effectively engage with property owners, staff, and external stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make strategic decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards and upholding company values.
  • International exposure or experience working in diverse cultural environments is a plus.

 

Responsibilities :

  • Strategic Vision : Develop and implement strategic plans aligned with the long-term objectives of the company. This involves understanding market trends, identifying business opportunities and ensuring the organisation remains competitive.
  • Operational Supervision : Managing the daily operations of the company. This includes ensuring that company operations are efficient, profitable and aligned with overall business objectives.
  • People Management : Excel in leading and motivating employees. Skilled in hiring, training and developing staff, and effectively managing teams to improve productivity and morale.
  • Financial Acuity : Must have a solid understanding of the principles of financial management. This includes budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and ensuring the organisation remains financially healthy.
  • Communication Skills : Clearly convey ideas and decisions to all levels of employees, as well as negotiate and persuade when necessary.
  • Problem Solving Skills : Able to quickly identify problems and provide effective solutions is crucial with analytical thinking, creativity and decisiveness.
  • Be able to adjust strategies and operations in response to changing market conditions.
  • Direct the company’s villa operations across Bali, ensuring seamless coordination and alignment with organisational objectives.
  • Overseeing all aspects of guest services, maintenance, owner relations, development, and logistics to uphold high standards of service excellence.
  • Monitoring expenses, incident reports, and multiple departmental requests, while maintaining meticulous records and ensuring compliance with budgetary constraints.
  • Implementing and evaluating operational procedures in accordance with industry standards, continuously seeking opportunities for improvement and innovation.
  • Developing comprehensive strategies to enhance guest and client satisfaction, prioritising feedback and implementing actionable solutions to address concerns.
  • Conducting regular villa audits and assessments, identifying areas for improvement, and developing clear action plans for follow-up and resolution.
  • Facilitating open channels for guest feedback, collaborating with managers to establish effective communication strategies, and promptly addressing guest concerns and inquiries.
  • Collaborating with promoters for seamless new villa handovers, resolving defects, and overseeing villa renovations to maintain property quality and standards.
  • Establishing and maintaining inventories and data records, implementing new IT systems, and designing training programs to ensure operational excellence and staff proficiency.
