The ideal candidate should have a strong background in overseeing the entire production process, from sourcing materials to final product delivery, ensuring high-quality standards and timely execution. They should demonstrate excellent leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to manage and coordinate with diverse teams, including designers, suppliers, and manufacturers.
Requirements
- Open for local candidates.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Production, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum five years in fashion production management, with hands-on experience in fashion manufacturing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Bahasa.
- Highly organised, with excellent communication skills, passionate about fashion, possessing strong problem-solving abilities, able to work under pressure, proactive, and detail-oriented.
- Software Skills:
– Proficiency in production management software.
– Familiarity with inventory management systems.
– Basic knowledge of Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides).
– Familiarity with Shopify systems.
- Additional skills:
– Ability to manage and coordinate a team effectively.
– Knowledge of garment construction and textile manufacturing processes.
– Experience in sourcing materials and negotiating with suppliers.
– Understanding of quality control standards and procedures in fashion production.
– Ability to adapt to changing trends and technologies in the fashion industry.
Responsibilities
- Manage Production Schedules:
- Develop and maintain detailed production schedules.
- Monitor progress and adjust schedules as needed to meet deadlines.
- Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure timely availability of materials.
- Collaborate with Team Members and Manufacturers:
- Work closely with the design team to ensure production aligns with the brand’s vision.
- Maintain strong relationships with manufacturers to ensure quality and timely delivery.
- Coordinate with other departments to streamline the production process.
- Communicate with the Australian Team:
- Regularly update the Australian team on production status.
- Address any issues or delays and provide solutions.
- Ensure clear and consistent communication across all teams.
- Maintain Clear Communication with Directors and Stakeholders:
- Provide regular updates on production progress and any issues.
- Prepare and present reports to directors.
- Facilitate effective communication between production and other departments.
- Resolve Production Issues:
- Identify and troubleshoot production problems.
- Implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Maintain detailed records of issues and resolutions.
- Monitor Production Costs:
- Track production expenses and identify areas for cost reduction.
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best prices.
- Implement efficient production methods to reduce waste and costs.
- Develop and Implement Production Strategies:
- Analyse current production processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Implement new technologies and methods to increase productivity.
- Train staff on new procedures and equipment.
- Coordinate with the Design Team:
- Ensure that all products meet the design specifications.
- Work with designers to resolve any production-related design issues.
- Provide feedback to the design team to improve future designs.
- Manage Inventory Levels:
- Monitor inventory levels and reorder materials as needed.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to prevent shortages.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Negotiate Supplier Contracts:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
- Negotiate favorable terms and prices.
- Ensure that all supplier contracts are in compliance with company policies.
