A boutique property construction and investment company offering beautifully crafted, high-quality villas is searching for a Quantity Surveyor to join their team immediately. 

The ideal candidate must possess extensive experience in cost management and construction projects. They should have a strong background in quantity surveying, with a proven ability to manage project budgets, prepare detailed cost estimates, and conduct thorough cost analysis. Proficient in using cost estimating software and project management tools, and an in-depth understanding of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations are required. 

Requirements :

  • Open for local candidates. 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field from a reputable institution.
  • Minimum of two years of relevant work experience in quantity surveying, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel for quantity take-offs, cost estimation, and project documentation.
  • Proficiency in calculating RAB, BOQ and understandable for Progressing & Opname.
  • Have experience working with contractors.
  • Strong understanding of area/volume calculation formulas and their application in quantity surveying tasks for hospitality projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with project teams, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills to ensure accuracy in cost analysis, budgeting, and procurement processes.
  • Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and procurement practices specific to hospitality projects.
  • Familiarity with construction materials, methods, and the overall project lifecycle.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Resilience and persistence in handling challenges and delivering results.

Responsibilities :

  • Prepare, estimate, and determine the Overall Cost Budget (RAB) in terms of materials, labour costs, equipment, subcontractors, and the project duration for a new or existing project.
  • Estimate a project by collecting subcontractor proposals, working drawings, material specifications, and related documents.
  • Calculate risks and potential deviations from the project plan.
  • Collaborate with the project manager/project in charge (PIC) to oversee the progress of the project.
  • Ensure that project execution costs align with the planned budget.
  • Ensure compliance with contract document change requirements and be ready to use them as a basis for agreements.
  • Proactively develop innovations to enhance project budget execution performance through thorough monitoring.
  • Check the use of materials to see if it aligns with what was calculated by the estimator.
  • Coordinate daily data transaction recording into the Prolog program to provide periodic reports to the Project Control.
