Are you a driven individual with a strong background in real estate projects? A dynamic property redevelopment company is looking for a Project Estimator/Quantity Surveyor to join their team immediately. 

The ideal candidate will be highly detail-oriented and analytical, with a proven ability to provide accurate estimates and cost assessments for property redevelopment projects. They will be responsible for documenting the quantities and costs of materials, labour, and equipment required for each project, ensuring that estimates are thorough and aligned with budgetary requirements. A deep understanding of construction methods, materials, and local building codes is essential. 

Requirements :

  • Open for local candidates.
  • Bachelor Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field. Additional certifications or coursework in cost estimation or project management will be advantageous.
  • Proven expertise as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction materials, finishes, and specifications relevant.
  • Proficiency in cost estimation techniques, quantity takeoff software, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and cost benchmarks pertaining to each category.
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities, enabling effective collaboration with stakeholders in each category.
  • The capability to work independently and handle multiple projects.
  • Good interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities :

  • Thoroughly analyse blueprints, drawings, and reference materials to gain a comprehensive understanding of the construction project’s scope and requirements.
  • Responsible for calculating the costs involved, including materials, labour, equipment, and other essential expenses necessary for the successful completion of the construction project.
  • Responsible for estimating labour needs and determining the quantities of materials required for each construction phase, ensuring an accurate assessment of resources.
  • Preparing detailed and competitive bids, presenting comprehensive projections of costs and timelines, to secure construction projects successfully.
  • Effective communication with vendors and subcontractors will be vital as you gather price quotes and bids for materials and services needed for the project.
  • Meticulously review bids received from vendors to ensure they align with project specifications and meet the required quality standards.
  • Drawing upon engineering designs and specifications provided by architects, engineers, or contractors, create meticulous and detailed construction estimates.
  • Diligent cost monitoring and regular updates to estimates to ensure accuracy and effective budget management.
  • Conducting risk assessments, identifying potential uncertainties that may affect costs and timelines, and incorporating them into the estimates.
  • Ensuring construction projects remain financially viable and within budgetary constraints.
