Marketing Manager – Family Dining Cafe (Ubud)

Our client, a family-friendly cafe in Ubud, Bali, is looking for a Marketing Manager to join their team.

The ideal candidate is a proactive professional skilled in promoting cafe services, driving revenue, and building customer relationships. They are responsible for developing strategies to attract and retain loyal customers while meeting sales targets. 

Additionally, you will plan and manage events such as birthdays, themed parties, trivia nights, live music, weekly kids’ activities, and social gatherings, focusing on logistics, budgets, and customer satisfaction to ensure event success. 

Experience in sales, marketing, and event management, along with an understanding of the family and expat market in Ubud, is highly valued.

Requirements: 

  • Open for local candidates.
  • Bachelor Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum two years experience in Sales or Marketing roles or in the event & hospitality industry.
  • Excellent English conversational skills and additional language is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with marketing strategy, offline sales & collaborations, digital marketing techniques, social media, and Meta ads or Google Ads.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Persuasive negotiation and presentation abilities.
  • Analytical thinking with the ability to interpret market data.
  • Creativity in developing marketing campaigns and sales pitches.
  • Proficiency in tools like CRM software, marketing platforms, and analytics tools.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed for events.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and customers.
  • Identify new business opportunities through networking, market research, and leads.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with collab business partners.
  • Achieve sales quotas and contribute to company revenue goals.
  • Plan, develop, and execute on & offline marketing campaigns to boost product/service visibility.
  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs, trends, and competition.
  • Create content for digital, print, and social media channels.
  • Analyse campaign performance and optimise based on data insights.
  • Provide excellent customer service on digital channels to build trust and loyalty.
  • Address customer concerns and feedback effectively.
  • Work closely with product development, customer service, and other departments.
  • Prepare and present monthly sales/marketing reports to management.
  • Work with clients to understand their vision, goals, and requirements.
  • Develop detailed event plans, timelines, and checklists.
  • Research and secure venues, vendors, and suppliers.
  • Coordinate event logistics, including catering, transportation, and accommodations.
  • Prepare and manage event budgets.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors and service providers.
  • Ensure events stay within financial constraints.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Communicate event details to team members and participants.
  • Direct staff on activity expectations.
  • Collaboration with purchasing department for event materials
  • Ensure smooth collaboration among all parties involved.
  • Oversee event setup, execution, and teardown.
  • Address and resolve any issues or emergencies during events.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Gather feedback from clients and participants.
  • Analyse event success and identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare post-event reports and documentation.
  • Manage team in the department which may include: Graphic Designer, admin, event staff, other.
  • Manage event vendors (eg magician, musician, snake guy, etc).
  • Coordinate with contacts at agencies for Website, Digital Ads, other.
