Are you a motivated individual with solid managerial experience searching for a fresh career opportunity? One of Bali’s leading Wellness Resorts is looking for a General Manager to join their team immediately. 

The ideal candidate is responsible for all departments and for improving efficiency and increasing departmental profits while managing the company’s overall operations and will be in charge of the entire team. Creativity, flexibility and having an open mind are key aspects to the role. The main purpose is to understand the ever-evolving business needs, be a compassionate leader to the team, optimize business plans, improve efficiency and handle relationships between staff and faculty. 

Requirement :

  • Open for expat candidates.
  • Min. two years experience in a similar field 
  • BSc/BA in Business or relevant field; MSc/MA is a plus 
  • Proven experience as a General Manager or similar executive role
  • Experience in planning and budgeting
  • Knowledge of business processes and functions (Finance, HR, Procurement, Operations etc.)
  • Strong analytical ability
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
  • Problem-solving aptitude

Responsibilities :

  • Lead in all aspects of business planning.
  • Liaises with ownership to define overall goals for the company.
  • Lead all key property issues including capital projects, customer service and refurbishment.
  • Manage on-going profitability of the hotel, ensuring revenue and guest satisfaction targets are met and exceeded.
  • Ensure all decisions are made in the best interest of the company.
  • Ensures compliance of SOP’s, policies, procedures and service standards
  • Closely monitor business reports on a daily basis and take decisions accordingly.
  • Coordination with HOD’s for the execution of all activities and functions.
  • Overseeing and managing all departments and working closely with department heads on a daily basis.
  • Performs property inspections and ensures all areas are kept up to standard.
  • Acts as a company ambassador and represents the company in events or other similar functions.
  • Maintains effective communication between all departments, other sister companies and ownership.
  • Manage and develop the Hotel Executive team to ensure career progression and development.
  • Provide effective leadership to team members.
  • Set policies and processes.
  • Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally.
  • Oversee recruitment of senior management.
  • Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance.
  • Direct the employee assessment process along with HR.
  • Prepare reports for ownership.
  • Lead sales and marketing efforts along with the Marketing team by developing a targeted strategy for publicizing the company’s services and amenities.
  • Organizes meetings with department heads to address changes to policies and assess progress.
  • Ensures all staff comply with operational and service standards, in addition to policies and procedures.
  • Identifying strategic goals for the company and communicating the importance of achieving those goals to staff.
  • Ensure staff follow health and safety regulations.
  • Ensure brand standards are met.
  • Assists in creating a company culture and enforcing it.
  • Foster a work environment that maximizes employee involvement, morale, company culture, and engagement.
  • Leads special projects and appoints teams to assist.
  • Directs team to achieve company goals and contribute to company culture and standards.
  • Provide solutions to issues (e.g. profit decline, employee conflicts, loss of business to competitors).
  • Handles relationships between team members and faculty.
