One of Bali’s eco-conscious activewear brands is looking for a sharp and trend-savvy Fashion Buyer to join their team and help shape future collections with a strong eye for design, quality, and sustainability.
The ideal candidate will play a key part in bridging product development with commercial planning. You’ll help bring clarity to the creative process by using data, trend insights, and customer behaviour to inform decisions around pricing, margin, and product planning. Working closely with the Design team, you’ll guide the structure of each collection to ensure it is both aligned with our brand values and supported by performance data, also oversee the Procurement function, ensure alignment with production timelines and sustainability commitments.
Requirements:
- Open for expat candidates.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in Buying, Merchandising, or Product Planning within fashion, lifestyle, or consumer goods.
- Strong analytical skills with proven ability to manage budgets, inventory plans, and sales performance reports.
- Proficient in using Numbers, Excel, or BI tools for forecasting, reporting, and margin analysis.
- Demonstrated capability to work cross-functionally with design, marketing, and operations teams.
- Experience in managing a direct report or leading a cross-functional team is preferred.
- Knowledge of or genuine interest in ethical sourcing and sustainable production practices.
- Familiarity with e-commerce and international direct-to-consumer (DTC) sales cycles is a plus.
- Fluent in English, with the ability to work effectively across cultures in fast-paced environments.
- Passionate about product, with both a strong instinct for performance and a strategic, data-driven mindset.

Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain the seasonal product calendar, ensuring balance between creative flow and commercial structure.
- Have a deep understanding of the brand values and design philosophy that resonates with customers.
- Define product and style architecture, ensuring alignment with design, production and sales targets.
- Lead end-of-quarter analysis, collection post-mortems, and pre-season planning to feed future decisions.
- Identify carryover opportunities, core lines, and replenishment styles to stabilise revenue and reduce waste.
- Propose initiatives to drive new product trials, gaining insights by tracking trends and conducting competitor analyses and shopping trips.
- Plan Merchandise clearance.
- Define retail pricing strategies for every collection.
- Define the margins strategy.
- Conduct ongoing stock and sales performance analysis: sell-through, margin, size curves, colour performance, lifecycle.
- Forecast product demand, monitor performance by SKU, and identify patterns in customer preferences.
- Use data to guide design briefs—ensuring each drop meets style, category, and performance targets.
- Support pricing strategies by market, considering costs, positioning, and desired margins.
- Manage markdown strategy and stock clearance plans with input from Marketing and Customer Experience teams.
- Monitor ecommerce product feedback and collaborate with Customer Service to identify recurring customer needs.
- Translate community sentiment and sales insights into actionable feedback for Design and Marketing.
- Work closely with Design to structure collections around performance and purpose.
- Collaborate with Marketing on drop cadence, campaign planning, product storytelling, and pricing narratives.
- Work closely with the Data team to make analytical decisions.
- Partner with Production to align design handovers and raw material timelines with delivery and release windows.
- Lead and mentor the Procurement team responsible for product buying based on current models.
- Build and lead the buying team as needed.
- Support development and systems implementation to ensure timelines, quality and sustainability standards are met.
- Align material sourcing plans with the buying calendar and production schedule.
- Ensure raw materials meet company brand values, regenerative, traceable, ethical.
- Monitor costs, minimums and lead times to support margin strategy and delivery accuracy.
- Maintain visibility on supplier performance, building long-term, values-aligned partnerships.
- Oversee onboarding of new suppliers, supporting quality control, relationship development, and ethical compliance.
- Support quick-reaction product decisions by ensuring visibility on available stock, fabrics and lead times.
