Our client, a boutique villa resort in the heart of Seminyak, Bali, inspired by art and complemented by exceptional service, spa experiences and fine dining, is looking for a dynamic and experienced Deputy General Manager to join their team.

The ideal candidate will oversee the day-to-day operations of the boutique resort, which features a restaurant, art space, wellness centre, and gym. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality, an eye for detail, and a commitment to providing exceptional guest experiences while fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Requirements :

  • Open for local candidates. 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s Degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in hospitality management, with at least three years in a supervisory role in a resort or boutique hotel setting.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop a diverse team, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Solid understanding of financial management, budgeting, and revenue forecasting.
  • Strong commitment to guest service excellence and experience in managing guest relations.
  • Knowledge of Bali’s culture, art, and wellness practices is highly desirable.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Familiarity with property management systems (PMS), online booking platforms, and basic IT skills.
  • Proficiency in English and Bahasa Indonesia is required, additional languages are a plus.

Responsibilities :

  • Assist the General Manager in the oversight of all resort operations, ensuring high standards of service and guest satisfaction across all facilities.
  • Lead, motivate, and manage resort staff, promoting a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain a strong presence in guest areas, addressing concerns and feedback in a timely manner to enhance the guest experience.
  • Assist in budgeting and financial planning, monitor expenditures, and implement cost-control measures to achieve financial targets.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional strategies for the resort’s amenities, including the restaurant, art space, wellness centre, and gym.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of events and workshops in the art space and wellness centre, ensuring seamless operations and guest satisfaction.
  • Implement and maintain quality assurance programs to uphold high standards of service and cleanliness.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, and maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and staff.
  • Champion sustainability practices within the resort, promoting eco-friendly initiatives and community engagement.
